Advice for Going Through Recruitment

My biggest piece of advice to anyone who is considering going through recruitment is to be true to yourself. Go in with an open mind and explore different topics while conversing with all the new people you will meet. These conversations will allow you to have a deeper understanding of what each sorority is about as well as connect you to each member. I returned to Alpha Delta Pi each round throughout recruitment because I knew the moment I sat down to have my first conversation with Alpha Delta Pi that I was in love. It felt so relieving to talk to each member as though I had known them my whole life and have each conversation flow so casually.

As formal recruitment draws near, I am beyond thrilled to welcome all the new faces into our home and show everyone what being an Alpha Delta Pi truly means. The memories and friendships I’ve gained from my time in Alpha Delta Pi will be cherished for the rest of my life, and I hope the potential new members will want to experience the same once they meet us in August.

Dear Potential New Members,

Hello my name is Brooke, and I’m the Director of Primary Recruitment! Going through formal recruitment is easily the best decision I have ever made. Initially, I was worried about emerging into Greek life since I was surrounded by all new people and had no idea what to expect. I wasn't anticipating that this experience would have such a profound impact on my life, but now that I’m reflecting on this period of my life I recognize that without Alpha Delta Pi, I wouldn't be the person I am today. Joining Alpha Delta Pi has enabled me to grow as both an individual and a leader through my sisters’ positive influence and the variety of opportunities offered to members. I never envisioned myself in a position that plays such a vital role in Alpha Delta Pi's overall success, but I’m only where I am today because of the constant support and encouragement I receive from my sisters. I’m forever grateful that I took a leap of faith when I began my college career. The friendships I've made and the experiences I earned will be brought into and benefit all my future endeavors, whether it’s in graduate school or a lifelong career.
